Scores.wiki is a sports data platform delivering real-time scores, proprietary player and team ratings, betting odds analysis, and automated game coverage across major professional and college sports leagues.
Our system ingests data from official league APIs and licensed data providers, processes it through custom-built analytical models, and publishes results continuously throughout the day. All times are displayed in Eastern Time (ET).

Our Analytics
We maintain proprietary rating systems for tennis players using both Elo and Glicko methodologies, with surface-specific adjustments for hard court, clay, and grass. Our betting odds analysis uses power-method de-vigging to convert bookmaker odds into true implied probabilities, removing the bookmaker's margin for more accurate assessments.

Update Frequency
Our data pipelines run continuously. Live scoreboards update every 1-2 minutes during active games. Tennis ratings and odds refresh every 15 minutes. Horse racing entries update every 4 hours, with results tracked every 10 minutes on race days.
Our Methodology
Every number on Scores.wiki is backed by a transparent, well-established methodology:
- Elo Ratings — Based on the chess rating system developed by Arpad Elo. We calculate surface-specific Elo for tennis (hard, clay, grass) and record-derived Elo for team sports. See ATP Elo · WTA Elo
- Glicko Ratings — Mark Glickman's extension of Elo that accounts for rating reliability (RD). Players with fewer recent matches have higher uncertainty. See ATP Glicko · WTA Glicko
- Win Probability — Derived from Elo rating differences using the logistic distribution. Home advantage adjustments: NHL +30, NBA +100, MLB +24 Elo points.
- Power De-Vig — Converts bookmaker odds to true probabilities by finding the optimal power factor via binary search, removing the bookmaker's margin.
- Watchability Score — Our proprietary 1-10 rating combining team quality, win probability closeness, playoff implications, divisional rivalry, and broadcast availability.
Editorial Approach
Our coverage combines automated data-driven reporting with analytical context. "Where to Watch" guides are generated from official schedule data, broadcast information, and our proprietary analytics. We aim to provide accurate, timely, and useful information for sports fans and bettors.
